At MAXIM, SMP pricing is reasonable and competitive. We offer package pricing based on the size and area of the scalp being treated. You can expect transparent quotes upfront with no hidden fees.

A full SMP process typically requires 2-3 sessions spaced 7-14 days apart. Each session lasts 2-4 hours depending on the area being treated. Smaller areas like adding density or filling in a hairline may only require 1-2 sessions.

We use local anesthesia to help you manage your pain. Most people don't feel more than a light bit of pressure throughout the entire process. You can read or listen to a podcast while we complete the procedure, or just sit back, relax, and think. It will take very little of your attention!

Our trained SMP specialists use specialized micro-needles and surgical-grade pigments to meticulously implant pigment deposits into the scalp skin. This creates the appearance of closely shaved, solid hair follicles, mimicking the look of a full head of hair when viewed from a distance.

Before your SMP procedure, the artist will shave your head and apply a topical anesthetic cream to minimize discomfort. You should avoid blood thinners, alcohol, and certain supplements in the days leading up to your appointment as instructed.

Advantages

There are a handful of advantages to SMPs for the right candidates.

The medical grade pigment mimics real hair and is often indistinguishable from real hair. We can use it to give a man a neat, clean "buzz cut" look, or to carefully fill in small patches of lost hair.

With this procedure we're creating tiny puncture wounds. Your natural healing processes take over, activating hair follicles, increasing blood flow to the area, promoting collagen production, and stimulating hair growth. This can "jump start" a man's natural hair growth. You can grow your own hair without harming the micropigmentation tattoos, either choosing to buzz your natural hair and letting the pigmentation fill in the blanks or allowing your hair to grow longer, using the micropigmentation to help conceal thin spots.

You'll notice immediately visible results after your first SMP session creating the look of a freshly shaved full head of hair.

SMP offers long-lasting results. The SMP pigment should retain its color and strength for four to eight years. You can schedule an enhancement procedure as often as you need to in order to address fading. Scalp micropigmentation is hassle-free, requiring minimal maintenance.

We use the finest medical grade pigments to give you incredible results. Our inks are long-lasting, non-toxic, and safe to use. We offer multiple colors for multiple skin tones. These are tattoo pigments especially created for SMP procedures.

SMP provides a shaved look which can be used to add density to thinning areas, camouflage transplant scarring, extend the appearance of a receding hairline, and more.

However, because of its versatility, SMP is also used for non-cosmetic purposes such as the concealment of scars from accidents or previous hair transplants. Traditionally, scars were revised surgically through a procedure also known as scar revision or scar repair.

natural medical-grade pigments that are deposited into the scalp using microneedles creating the appearance of hair follicles. Through SMP, patients suffering from hair loss can achieve a buzz cut look. They can also have their receding hairlines restored painlessly and almost instantly.

SMP has several advantages over hair transplant procedures including:

Non-invasive. Unlike hair transplant procedures such as FUE and FUT, SMP is non-invasive and is similar to getting a tattoo. That is why SMP is ideal for those who shy away from hair transplant surgery or those who can't afford time off work for a post-op recovery period.

No Medication. Aside from a topical numbing agent used during the session, no other medication is required for this non-invasive procedure.

Although relatively painless, a topical numbing agent is applied on the scalp to ease the patient's discomfort during the SMP procedure.
