You can store your belongings in the lockers while you swim or work out.
In addition to swimming and the fitness center, there are many more things to do at Memorial Park Conservancy. The park has several trails for biking, hiking, running, or skating. Picnic Loop is a smooth, paved path ideal for biking or in-line skating. There is a crushed granite trail with exercise stations, water fountains, and restrooms along the path for a fun family workout. The park also has 18 tennis courts, four sand volleyball courts, a golf course, croquet courts, and a large playground.

T. C. Jester Park is another one of Houston’s free aquatic centers and is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The pool has a 16-foot deep end with a slide and a shallow end where smaller children can wade. Lifeguards are on duty when the pool is open. There is a splash pad next to the pool for extra water fun or for children who don’t want to go swimming. The pool area has plenty of tables, chairs, and lounge chairs so parents can sit comfortably as they watch their kids. The pool is closed on Mondays.
Once you’re done swimming, there’s still plenty of other fun things to do at T. C. Jester Park. There are playgrounds for the kids with areas suitable for bigger kids and a smaller play area for toddlers. There are hiking and biking paths and a 21-hole disc golf course perfect for a family game. You can bring the family dog to the enclosed dog park for some outdoor playtime with other pups. T. C. When you’re ready for something bigger than a community pool, Schlitterbahn Waterpark is a great choice. It’s a huge water park in Galveston featuring over 30 slides and attractions. There’s also a heated pool, a swim-up bar, a lazy river, and a tidal wave river for those who want something more exciting. The waterpark features Treasure Island, a water play area for smaller children. Finally, there’s a zipline for the truly adventurous.

Moody Gardens Water Park has a lot to offer for family fun in the sun. Palm Beach is a white-sand beach in Galveston where you can enjoy a relaxing float along the lazy river, splash around the wave pool, soar down the tower slides into the water, or play on the large splash pad.
After you visit the water park, there’s also a zoo, a museum, and an amusement park to enjoy at Moody Gardens. The Aquarium Pyramid is a unique 1.5-million-gallon aquarium full of all sorts of sea life, including penguins, seals, sharks, and stingrays.
