What Is A Follicular Unit Transplant (FUT)?

Follicular Unit Transplant (FUT) is a treatment for hair loss involving the surgical removal of a strip from a donor area on the back of the patient’s head for use in the hair transplant procedure. The strip is dissected and prepared as individual grafts that will then be surgically implanted into recipient sites according to the individual needs of each patient. This treatment for hair loss is also commonly known as the strip technique, a reference to the manner in which the donor hair is taken from the patient.
