Having two prior FUE beard transplants before meeting Dr Diaz all I can say is WOW. The results blew me away, 3rd time really is a charm. I ended up having double the beard hair density with seemingly using 40% less grafts than prior FUE procedures that I had done previously. My overall experience at Maxium was amazing. From the beginning, Elyse gave me all the information,I needed to take to get my procedure done. Dr. Gus Diaz is very informative and knowledgeable on the steps he had to do as in how many grafts he could possibly retrieve. They made me feel comfortable during the procedure. and checked on me after the procedure was done.

I just wanted to take the time to provide some feedback on my experience at Maxim Hair Restoration in Charlotte. I got FUE about 2 weeks ago now, so far I’m really pleased with everything from the consultation, ease of payment, scheduling, procedure, and follow up! I also sprung for the PRP treatment and the aftercare sprays and I feel like those have helped tremendously with the healing and results! I’ll follow up in a year with the true results of the outcome but so far I’m happy that I chose Maxim over the bigger guys in Charlotte that charge twice the price! Elyse and Dr. Diaz and really informative and you can tell they really care about their patient/customers.

I’m two weeks post op and my experience has been very good so far. All of my expectations have been met or exceeded. Elyse and Dr Diaz have been great throughout the whole process. I received my hair transplant a few weeks ago and can’t recommend this clinic enough. Both Elyse and Dr. Diaz have been phenomenal with communicating throughout the process and being available for any concerns or questions. They’ve put forth the extra effort to ensure my experience was comfortable, informed, and precise.

For perspective, my consult was over the phone (being almost 4hrs away), and I felt confident enough with them after reviewing my photos and communicating to move forward with the transplant. I’m glad I went to them for this procedure, my hairline is exactly where I wanted it to be, and the transplanted hair had the density I had desired.

I highly recommend a consult if you’re deciding on this procedure, you’d be hard-pressed to find more professional or supportive staff who genuinely care about you and your results.

I received my hair transplant on August 8th 2024. I have to say starting off with Elyse was perfect. She brought me in for a consultation and explained everything in great detail. She remained with me every step of the way. Elyse is genuinly a great person and very comforting. I was very impressed. Then to Dr. Diaz who came in met with me was extremely knowledgeable about AFRO hair and the techniques used to achieve the best result. Dr. Diaz knows his stuff and did an amazing job. The two technicians that wored on my inplants as well were very professioal and extremely nice. I can say that if you decide to give MAXIM a try you are making probably one of the best decisions of your life. I did my hair transplant in Jan 6 ,2025 and it was awesome – I didn’t suffer any pain. The doctor is very skilled and talking care of me very well – even give me his cell phone numbers , Checking me everyday by texting me if I am okay and what needs to be done even if I was provided instructions on the procedure day.

Dr. Diaz, Elyse, and the team at Maxim CLT are true professionals. They are competent, caring, and a joy to work with. I’ve had several FUT procedures at Bosley dating back to 2006 and was admittedly a little nervous about trying a new doc. However, within minutes of talking to Dr. Diaz, I felt completely at ease and knew he was going to do a great and thoughtful job. My procedure (2,800 FUE) was easy and went smoothly. In the first few days following my procedure, the doctor and Elyse checked in on me routinely. They were able to address my concerns throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend visiting Maxim, Dr. Diaz, and his team. I feel great about the work they did and am excited for the results I’ll start seeing very soon.

As a gift to myself, I decided to pursue a hair transplant (FUE) and found Maxim in Charlotte. I had been reading about the procedure and the number of offices that perform the procedure all around the country and even considered going outside of the U.S. I responded to a few requests for info and pictures from others who perform this procedure, but decided to go to Maxim’s office and ask more questions and get guidance.
Elyse is great. She put my mind at ease immediately and convinced me that I was correct that Maxim would be right for me.
Dr. Diaz is professional, well -qualified and very experienced. Both of them fully understand that while this procedure is not invasive, the biggest part is comforting the client, hand holding, and being accessible. I was surprised by the number of text messages we exchanged and they were both very responsive and concerned. They put my mind at ease at every turn. As far as the procedure, it was a long day, but I knew I was in good hands, and their handling before, during, and after the procedure confirmed it. They were honest, concerned, and caring. Consultion:
I had my consultation with Elyse. She was very thorough, extremely informative, personal and best of all, didn’t try to sell me something I don’t need . Honestly , I was a little scared. As a black woman, I didn’t want to be in a situation where I’m speaking with someone that didn’t understand black hair/scalp. She was great and very warm. I really appreciate her guidance and informing me of many routes I could take before committing to a pricey (but very effective) procedure.

General Feedback for the Company:
Although, I’m already educated on the topic of protective styles and I understand that it’s important for people to do their own research — One thing I would recommend is speaking on or perhaps have a page on the website to inform people on ways to optimize the services they provide – such as protecting your hair and scalp like protective hair styles, gentle brushing, diet, etc.
I know this is not the primary purpose of this place, I just think it would be the “cherry on top”.

Great experience, everyone here is very friendly, knowledgeable and caring. I’m excited with my results already and even more so to see the final result! Every step of the process has been great.

**Update** Four months in and I can already tell a HUGE difference! People are commenting as well how good it looks! As others have said Dr. Diaz and Elyse make sure you are well taken care of before, during and after. Everyone has been top notch!

Dr.Diaz is very patient and friendly. He has a very nice staff. Eylse (one of his staff members) offered to drive me home after my procedure. The doctor gives his patients his cell if they have a question, and he responds that day. The care at Maxim Hair Restoration has been very professional so far. I haven’t seen my results yet, but I’m looking forward to seeing the result in the next 12 months.

Dr. Diaz achieved amazing results for me with about 2,800 grafts. Elyse handled consult, communication, and support and was always professional and courteous. I attempted the procedure with another company in VA around my edges and did not have good results,because I’ve learned that they do not understand black hair, so my confidence was low and if I were to do it again, I had to choose a more reputable company.
